GOLFAMORE GROUP ACQUIRES THE ASSETS OF GOLFER SWEDEN AB

Golfamore Group, the majority owner of Golfamore, OnTee, Out-of-Bounds, and Matchplay, has acquired the assets of Golfer Sweden AB. The acquisition strengthens the Group’s position within digital golf services in Europe.

In connection with the purchase, Golfamore Group will conduct a review of the acquired assets and support Golfer Sweden’s users and partner courses in the transition to OnTee, Europe’s leading platform for tee time bookings.

“Our portfolio company OnTee is already a well-established and popular alternative to Golfer Sweden’s main product, Fade, aimed at golfers who want to book tee times across Europe in a smooth and secure way. When it became clear that Golfer Sweden had gone bankrupt, we wanted to quickly ensure that customers could continue booking tee times and that clubs could keep selling them. We are now introducing OnTee to Fade users and offering an easy transition for both golfers and clubs,” says Fredrik van Speijk, CEO of Golfamore Group.

OnTee is Golfamore Group’s own tee time booking platform in Europe. It was launched in 2017 and helps thousands of golfers every month easily book tee times at 1,000 courses in Spain, Portugal, Italy, and eight other countries.

“We are confident that Golfer Sweden’s customers will be pleased with OnTee. In our latest survey, OnTee’s Net Promoter Score reached 84, which is higher than well-known brands such as Amazon and Netflix,” continues Fredrik van Speijk.

In addition to introducing OnTee to Golfer Sweden’s customers, a deeper evaluation of the technical assets will be conducted to identify potential integrations with other companies within Golfamore Group.
